127. Abraham WITMER

Abraham farmed the 133 acres he received from the estate of his father. In
1870 he sold a piece of this land to the trustees of St. Paul's Union church
for the erection of a church building. In 1889 Abram and Mary wre living in
Port Treverton, Penn., when they deeded their farm to their son Daniel. After
Abraham;s death his widow, Mary, lived with her son Daniel.

farmer with his second wife Eliza and daughter Ada. He wrote a will on Feb.
24, 1882, devising the land on which he them lived to his wife Eliza for her
lifetime and a house and lot in McAlisterville to his daughters Alice and Ada.

In politics a republican, he was for a long time a township trustee. He was a man of high character and noted for his industry and public spirit.
