Benjamin occupied his life in agricultural pursuits and in milling, operating
the Hershey Mill from 1934 until 1862.1850, 1860, 1870 Manor, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania Census
Benjamin's will was written on the 19th day of April, 1879. He mentions both of his wifes, Catharine (Brubacher) Hershey and Susan Hershey. He mentiones his sister, Veronica Hershey Kauffman. He also lists all five of his children. The will was probated on the 22 day of October, 1882.
The death notice for Benjamin was published in the Lancaster Dailey Intelligencer.
