1860 Clarksburg, Montgomery Co., Maryland Census. In this census he is living with Sarah R. Hyatt probably as a boarder. He was a practicing physician.

Mary E. (Mollie)

Mary is listed in her husband's probate.

When Mary died she left everything to William Horner because all of her family
was since deceased. William Horner was raised by Mary E. Hershey. He was a
motherless boy who came into her life at the time of her daughter, Lillian's
death. He later lived in Thomas, West Virginia.

Mary's death date is also listed as 26 Nov 1918.

Cemetery.

Catharine is listed in her father, Jacob's probate. She is also listed in the
Erie Co., New York Guardianship records, Case 2033. Her guardians are David
Hershey, John Hershey, William Horner, Christian Hershey, & Susan Hershey.

Dorothy Jackson was a grand-daughter of Catharine Eby.

It is believed that Catherine lived for a time in St. Joseph, Missouri, and
then moved back to Williamsville, New York.

3387. David Welty HERSHEY (Dr.)

1850 Oakfield, Genesse Co., New York Census. They must have marked David on
two seperate Census records for 1850.
1880, 1900 Nebraska City, Otoe Co., Nebraska Census

In 1850, David, elected to follow the medical profession and enrolled at the
University of Buffalo medical department. He graduated in February 1854 and
began his practice at Williamsville. In 1864 he was appointed Assistant
Surgeion to the 98th New York Regiment of the National Guards. He held this
position until 1867, when he came to Nebraska City, Nebraska, and opened an
office for regualr practice and surgery. ( Information taken from the
"Portrait and Biographical Album of Otoe and Cass Counties, Nebraska".

David was buried in the Wyuka Cemetery, Old Ground Lot 332. His interment
date was January 18, 1912 and his number was 5214.

Josephine W. EMMONS

Birth & Death: Otoe Co., Nebraska cemetery records. Wyuka Cemetery, Lot No.
332. Interment # 4289. FHL 0869274, Item 3-4. Josephine is also listed as the
wife of D. W. Hershey in this record.

Information was taken from the "Portrait and Biographical Album of Otoe and
Cass Counties, Nebraska".

Josephine was a member of the Baptist Church.

Friday, March 22, 1918.

Harriet never marries.

Henrietta was adopted. She was an Irish girl and became a school teacher.

Section "G", Lot 45, 2nd Grave N W corner)

In the 1900 census, Henrietta says that she had five children but only four
are living at this time. A son, Jay, died early in his life.
